THE UNLIKELY & LIKELY OOTD/PHOTOSHOOT LOCATIONS AT: SENTOSA ISLAND
Sentosa Island: A More-than-Ideal Location for Photoshoot/OOTDS
You read it right.
Why this post is titled: The Unlikely and Likely OOTD/Photoshoot Locations at Sentosa Island, is because
EVERY SPOT is a photo shoot opportunity! *G A S P S*
-
We were extremely lucky to score a staycation at Festive Hotel, and so, we thought that this was a great idea to scout out locations in our very own Sentosa Island for OOTD-lovers like you, and me. Sentosa is very amazing, and breathtakingly spectacular in every aspect. From the architecture to the multiple interiors at every different location, to the minute details of fixtures of greenery, and even the colour of their brick walls and marble flooring are to die for. I thought to myself then, that it was impossible to write out the number of photoshoot locations because while walking from the hotel to The Forum (Resort World Sentosa Shoppes), there are a ton of gorgeously beautiful spots that are perfect for shoots.
-
Therefore, we have decided to make it into a photoshoot route whereby you will know exactly the locations I took my outfit photos at, from Festive Hotel to The Forum, and generally the Waterfront Station area, and then along the Siloso Beach at the Beach Station. We did not have much time to travel to other stations (there are many more, such as the Imbiah Station where the Merlion is located at!), because of the short stay and the rainy spells that accompanied the overcast sky that couple days.

Festive Hotel, Festive Walk, Waterfront Station
If you have been to Festive Hotel, you would have noticed that once you head out of the lobby, you will be "outdoors" by the granite roads, and you will be able to see the bridge connecting the Resorts World with the Imbiah Station. On it, the word "Crockfords" stood out massively that there is absolutely no way anyone can miss it. Go ahead, and walk upon the walkway outside and ready your camera! We found this huge pink marbled wall which we thought is perfect for OOTD, while complementing the Seasalt Teal shade.
-
*Tip: Look down while taking your outfit of the day*
-
Following on, proceed into the Crockfords building, and be amazed and wow-ed by the huge statues that seemed to be welcoming all visitors. Surrounding them, there are many retailers and of course, most importantly, the gigantic decorative pillars in the most extravagant gold colour. We were absolutely in awe. How can we then not make it as part of our OOTD? ;)
-
*Tip: Tilt your head in a flattering angle to V out your face!*
-
Continue out of the Crockfords building and you would have finally arrived at the Festive Walk where they are hordes of tourists either resting on the steps, trying to snap a selfie with the various landmarks, or deciding which way to go next. Albeit it may be crowded for an outfit of the day, if you managed to strike it while the iron is hot, and find the less-crowded spot, or simply wait until the masses are gone, you will be rewarded with the endless steps of this Festive Walk. Stairway to heaven, anyone?
-
*Tip: Add some actions to make your photo look like a candid one*
-
Festive Walk, Waterfront Station, The Forum
Congratulations! You have reached the end of the Festive Walk and...we found you a pretty european wall with a plants-roof over your head, and fallen flowers that added to the mood. There is no way we are going to let this spot go, so we took out our camera and get down to snapping!
-
*Tip: Hold up your dress to match the setting*
-
Keep going and you will find yourself a world of shopping, food, and basically places to rest. We have reached The Forum.
-
The Forum is a retail space which has also been splendidly designed with marbled tiled walls, overhanging plants, and huge walkways. We snapped it quick at the walkway once there was no soul in sight. But of course, there are more backdrops than just the walkway at your command - go get creative! :)
-
*Tip: Try to keep your backdrop clean (as in no other people in sight)*
-
Beach Station, Siloso Beach
Travelling on to the Beach Station, you will find very crowded beaches along Siloso. If you are one to shun from crowds, Tanjong Beach that is further up might be more suitable!
-
Nevertheless, we found some photo opportunities right outside the Beach Station.
Walk in the direction of Siloso Beach and you will see this bench on a perfectly manicured lawn. While taking a chance to rest, why not make it the summer backdrop with its greens?
-
I've always had this thing about roadside walkways, especially those with endless, winding roads. And so, it's time to strike a pose (with passers-by staring), but you know, you are a tourist too!
-
*Tip: Look away from people if you feel awkward! Up, down, left, right, whichever that works best!*
-
Siloso Beach, Coastes Cafe
Finally, we have arrived at the beach -- our ultimate purpose of Sentosa Island (besides the staycation, of course!). Facing the sea always brings a sense of calm. Perhaps it is because the sea is so boundless and huge, that we, as mere humans, seem so minute, and all our problems seem so insignificant. And all of a sudden, we felt our troubles floating away with the sea.
-
Coming back to the topic, the beach is always an excellent location for photoshoots because you have the ideal lighting condition (provided that the sun loves you!), you have a pristine beach and its glorious palm trees -- all in all, you have an
unparalleled, picturesque backdrop.
-
A stretch of cafes lined the pathways to the beach starting with Coastes Cafe. Sure, you can fill your tummies there. Yet, don't forget that these cafes are designed to complement the beach setting. While sipping on your piña coladas, maybe it is time to snap a shot of your OOTD too? ;)
-
SO, when are you intending to head to Sentosa for your photoshoots?
