This Spring, the lines between female and male fashion are blurring, and the overlapping areas are greying out. It is something like femininity meets masculinity. Yet, at Neonmello, we strives for the ultimate womanly look - feminine yet never weak, feminism with a significant tinge of strength.
Three main trends of concern at NM will undoubtedly be colourblocking, lace/crochet, and pastels. Hence, you can definitely expect future collections along this line :)
Colour-blocking has since come back with a bang, after a short period of disappearance. It seems that this trend is complementary to the minimalist trend, except that it adds vibrancy to an outfit instead of the usual black and whites of minimalism. Naturally, the target audience is huge because minimalism is something that is easily adopted in an everyday look, and colour-blocking is something that is more readily accepted with ladies who are not completely into the androgynous style, but more to the ladylike demeanour.
NM, too, has embraced this trend for quite some time, oftentimes, even including pleats into the mixture. This makes it even more balanced out between feminism and masculism. So, it is certainly something to look out for this season!
Pastels have been on the list from the very start, yet only really popularised by last year's pantone colours - Serenity and Rose Quartz. Some of our favourite pastels to note are dusty pink, greyish lilac, and sky blue. These colours tend towards the girly personality in every woman. Yet, they are easily swayed towards the "Girl Boss" image with only but some stronger accessories such as structured or box clutch, solid coloured pumps, or an addition of the blazer.
If you are uncertain of what to wear to an occasion, a pastel number will do you no wrong no matter the event. You can wear it to an anniversary dinner, or even to a corporate meeting. One only has to switch out the accessories, or even the make-up if it is called for!
Lace is the one thing that can never disappear from a woman's life entirely. With so many different interpretations of lace outfits, you can now confidently wear this fabric out on streets without inviting traditional criticism. This fabric that was once, only worn either in the bedroom or on your wedding day.
At NM, our interpretation of lace is simple. It must be able to project the fragility of a woman, yet at the same time, gives off a poised look. It must show that the one wearing it is unshakeable in her positive beliefs. This is also why, you can find the designs at NM are often gentle yet powerful and appealing concurrently.
We hope you will look forward to our future collections consisting of these trends, and we wish that you find the balance between a young girl's innocence, and a mature lady's fervour.

With this, I now end this blog post with a quote from a very inspiring woman.
"Young girls are told they have to be the delicate princess. Hermione taught them that you can be the warrior." - Emma Watson
